Past
few days company is organizing an event again, Guys have to move tables
and chairs, heavy stuff from seminar room to meeting room and others
room. And we have to remove again all the event stuff back to the
origin place and girls have to notice the dishes or cup used by the
customer, we have to wash it, refil the coffee or tea, and cleaning job
after the event again.
Since
in July, we have been changing our work station. Occasionally it would
be in the Training Room (where we were initially placed), meeting room,
and in the lobby. Everyday we would have to move in and out. The
current place where we’re sitting now is the meeting room. The place is
almost full with things (things were shifted out from the Training Room
temporarily due to a 3-day event), thus making it difficult for us to
walk in and walk out.
A female Muslim
trainee (the ONLY MUSLIM trainee) asked permission if she is able to go
back home earlier since it is the fasting month, which means that she
wouldn’t be going or her break during our break time. However, her
request has been denied and she has been given a short lecture by the
people that in charge of the management by saying that “There is no such policy in WMA”.
I would like to take this opportunity to inform that, there is no such
policy in WMA as they are no Muslims here besides the trainee. The
company is 99% has Chinese staff.
I’m afraid that
after all trainee were complete their internship just left me and my
another course mate, our task will become heavier much more then now
cause no more trainee will help the company to do those cleaning and
heavy job, plus documentation, plus other extra task that I mention
above.
The company is really not being considerate. Some more discriminating the minority. It's very bad.
